Notebook Table of Contents/Vocabulary
I have uploaded a tentative list of what should be in your Unit 2 Notebook Table of Contents. Please add the "Title Page with 4 illustrations and a paragraph description" as your first item.
I have also uploaded the Unit 2 Vocabulary (Terms and Names) list. Please have this completed by the time I collect your notebooks the day of the test.

Back to School Night
Please remind your parents/guardians that Back to School Night is just around the corner on Thursday, September 3, 2010. It will be a great opportunity for them to meet me and find out what this class is all about! I look forward to seeing you all there :)

Revisions and Reminders about Notebooks
Here are a few reminders and clarifications about our notebooks:
- Record every assignment in your Table of Contents once you receive/are informed about it (makes it easier to remember during the moment rather than later).
- Always include the name of assignment, date, and page number in your Table of Contents
- Color-Code (with highlighters) the assignments in your Table of Contents, as well as the titles throughout the notebook (i.e. "Notes: The French revolution Begins).
- Some suggested categories for your Table of Contents are : Warm-ups, Notes, Handouts, Textbook Assessments, Tests/Quizzes.
- When recording a "handout" please record the title of that Handout as well (i.e. Guided Reading 7.1 The French Revolution Begins)
- Remember, you are suppose to have 4 images on the Unit Cover Page and one paragraph explaining how each of those images relate to the Unit and your background knowledge about the unit.
- You are also to have at LEAST FIVE images throughout the Unit that relate to the topics being covered. At least 2 of these images have to be one of the following: Graphic organizers (web-map, chart, etc.), Maps, or timelines.
- Complete your calendars with the class agenda EVERY day.
***If you are still confused or have any further questions about the notebook, please come see me.
